Quad MOT
A mate of mine has a Can-Am Quad thats coming up for its first MOT. Question is where can you take them to get it done??? Are they under a seperate
catagory or can you take them to any MOT station.

Hi
I don't think you can take it to a standard MOT station, or a Bike MOT station
unless there has been a recent change
I looked into this about a year ago, I couldn't find anywere to get it MOT'd
I now got it registered in France...
No MOT required for Quads or bikes...
Sorry no help I know.

They are a class 4 so in theory any car test place can do them, but most will probably turn their noses up as they don't normally do them.
The main problem is the brake test as the Quads are normally narrow track and don't fit in the roller tester, and most car garages dont have a
clamp on type tapley tester.
May be worth a phone call to VOSA to see who in your area is or has been testing quads

Yes any station should do em. Took the tin top to a bog standard mot station in October and they were doing one there. They were quite excited by it,
I suppose its down to testers as to weather they like something different or not.
