Minimum brake thickness, timing belt intervals etc but also things like spark plug size and oil filter etc would be handy.
How long can i resist the temptation to drop a V8 in?

Autodata has that kind of info and I think they have a website but you have to pay.
They also sell it electronically and in big telephone directory thick manuals - this is what a lot of independent garages rely on for such info...

what you want is an autodata CD like the independant garages use (you'll find couple of year old ones on ebay)
or go to the part manufacturers sites
NGK's site for the plugs (type and ngk gaps)
http://www.ngkpartfinder.co.uk
ebc / brakes international for brakes
http://www.ebcbrakesdirect.com/
http://www.brakesint.co.uk/
and so on.....
[Edit] too slow again.....
