Tomtom USA maps
I've just recieived a genuine Tomtom SD card with USA&Canada maps on but when I unstall it in my Tomtom 530 it just stalls after the first
screen loads.
Is there a problem with the card or is it just down to the fact I aint in the good old US of A yet?
I don't want to get on my hols, turn it on and go "Oh poo!" that doesn't work.

Don't you have to select the map from your menu's?
I have a 910 and a 930 and you have to switch maps.
I have just bought a 940 so the other two might be up for sale. ( hint hint ! )
My 930 was used in Florida with no problems. Both have the tmc aerial.

The 910 has the maps preinstalled doesn't it, I only know this as thats what I used last year but I have now given that to a work mate.
I was sold the card as being compatable with all Tomtom's that use an SD card, but after looking on their website I'm beginning to think
that not true
I may be wrong but it looks like its bound for Fleabay and I'll get the correct version direct from Tom.

You may have to point to it or transfer it to your main memory.
If I plug either unit into my PC, both Europe and usa maps are in the same folder.
Might be worth a try before you get rid of it. You can always delete the file if it does not work.

If it doesn't work here it won't work there.
You can normally see the map even if you aren't there.
If you bought it from a shop then get them so install and sort it.
