Toilet Legislation?
Wee discussion going on as to whether anyone has alegal right to use the toilet in your home.
As far as I know pregnant women are excused from all normal laws and are freely allowed to urinate anywhere (in someones garden or whatever)
Ive heard various other tales, the truth of which im unsure about:
If someone comes to your door and asks to use your toilet, is one legally obliged to allow them to?
If a pregnant woman is "caught short" is a policeman legally obliged to give her his hat?
Also, does anyone know if there are any differences in English and Scottish law?
Discuss.

I know that the law courts are legally obliged to take the pxss and let offenders off lightly if that helps

I believe a cab driver is allowed to take a #1 on the front wheel of his carriage. Apparently, that still stands today.
Not sure that the same applies to his pregnant wife or his passenger, but it's going to be an expensive fair if they don't get out
first...

i thought it was legal for anyone to pee on the front left (?) wheel
black cab ("hackney carriage" drivers are still legally got to carry a bale of hay for the horse.

Guess that answers Alastair's question, too. No need to let them in the house - just let them form an orderly queue at the front wheel of the
car!

Cab drivers were allowed to pee on wheel as it was illegal to leave the horse unattended.

Going back about 2 years now I remember watching a short documentary about some taxi drivers getting fined for peeing outside due to a local authority
closing public toilets.
They said that peeing up cab wheels and the like were all myths as they found out to their detriment.

I think you will find that all of those funny old 'laws' are no longer valid. ie the ones about driving sheep along downing st every 3rd
wednesday. The type that radio 4 listeners like to quote as still being true, when they are actually not and haven't been for many years.
So, anyone peeing in public will probably get done for either a public order offence, or disturbing the p!ss
Although I do like the idea of a woman peeing in a policemans helmet.

Providing you take reasonable care not to offend anyone and your choice of 'public venue' is well considered, then there's not a
court in the land that will convict you.
It's a natural function and we all get caught short from time to time.
However, if you pee whilst facing the traffic or in someone's doorway, then you're going to get what you deserve!

according to this, its only in scotland, when anyone knocks on your door.
i don't know, they still seem to think its true.
all i know is, last year a cruise ship was in town, a woman off the ship knocked on my mates door asking to use the toilet, which was wierd coz he
lives in a basement flat, when there was plenty more obvious houses about. anyway, he let her in to the toilet. my mates Mrs went mental at him when
she walked in to some random woman walking about their house
