Painting new panels

Iv ordered a new wing for our kangoo and its come in the black (paint?) they normally come in. What is the process for spraying them the colour of the van? Do i just rub the panel down and paint over the top or do i have to use primer?

How long can i resist the temptation to drop a V8 in?

Yes, I think you will need a primer.

Rub it down and prime it, the black stuff is only storage paint ( cataphoretic primer) to keep it looking decent on the shelf. Check it for dings and scratches, they do get knocked about a bit.

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.
