volvo 850 control arms

whoo hoo - replaced them.

3 bolts to undo, none were rusted or seized and the bolts were not seized in the bushes either.

Following the Haynes manual cost a fair bit of time as it says undo the balljoint nut and remove the control arm .... well not so Mr H.

There is not enough movement in the balljoint for it to pop out so the control arm need to be unbolted.

First one took about 2 - 3 hours, second one took about 1 hour.

saved me £ 150 !! at the cost of 3 scraped finger joints

some woman came up to me whilst I was working and asked if I wanted to fit 2 parts to her car?

"WTF you on about you moronic moron, do you think I ewant to be working in filth and scraping fingers instead of doing something fun?" is what I should have said but I didn't.

O politely declined. Talk of money of sexual flavours did not even come into it.
