Bit early for that... no-one knows what happened yet - he may have made a right arse of something himself that dropped it out of the sky!

Some years ago I did the underwater escape training, believe me, ditching in the sea in the dark is the absolute last thing you'd risk, so
I'd doubt pilot error, a reasonably warm pool in the dark, its amazing how quickly disorientation sets in!!

Agreed, sounds like the rescue pilot did a damned good job so maybe he should be hailed the hero instead
