detachable steering wheel boss
i currently have a mountney sierra boss and wheel but would like to get a detachable wheel, how do the detachable steering bosses work, do the just
bolt onto the column or do they need welding on?

Mine from Rally Design has a weld-on slug that welds to the column.
Not that I've done that yet - it's on the list!

My mountney QR had a weld on slug as well. I drilled and pinned it just to be extra secure (used the pin head to work the indicator self-cancelling
too)....

Mine was about £50. Not Mountney but even with the conversion plate it's only about £58?

Question which springs to mind - why? From what I understand it wont pass SVA with one if you haven't already.
I can understand as far as security goes but...

I made my own - it just bolts on to the boss , and the `other` half bolts to the wheel . It moved the wheel back about 20mm , but that was what I
wanted anyway .
Its cuz I is blond , innit
