HMRC Revenue and Customs - RANT
Well....I'm now on my 5th different tax code for 2008/9, with another code ready to kick in in April for 2009/10
I wouldn't mind, but my tax affairs are really excruciatingly simple. Standard tax free allowance less company car benefit in kind - you
don't even need a calculator FFS
Speaking to them on the phone is pointless, more use calling the speaking clock. Writing to them incurs a minimum response time of 4 weeks
(that's before they even consider a response overdue). When you get a response it's 90% twaddle.
I'm paying your s0dding wages so you can s0dding well get your thumbs out of your ar5e5 and get it right

took me 6 attempts and over 12 months for them to change my company address through out all their departments after i moved house! Its amazing how
quickly they contact you when they think you haven't paid them your VAT or tax!!! What made it more of a wee take was i was all paid up, but
because they couldn't get my address right, the appropriate paper work to fill in was being sent to my old house, but the warning letters sent
to the correct address!!!!

I feel your pain for I WAS in the same boat - took me about 18 months to get back Tax owed from the last 5 years... every bl**dy rock was upturned to
find ways out of it but I persisted.
I've just got some back now - but the Taxing System in this country must cost a f*cking fortune to administer - it's absolute madness!!!
Thanks Mr tw*tting Brown.... I didn't vote for you - now f*ck off!!!

Ah it's nice to hear our glorious leader being praised by the masses!
Lets not foget that the country owes Mr Brown a massive debt of gratitude due to his very prudent handling of the economy
You all should be much more grateful you know (shame there isn't a smilie for showing sarcasm)
