Classic van/car quiz
How many classic vans, or cars that could be used as a van, can you think of (the vehicle would be used by a mechanic)? It can only cost up to £2000
and must be pre 1973 (free tax)
The only ones i can think of are:
Morris minor traveller/van
Mini traveller/van
Austin a30/35 van
How long can i resist the temptation to drop a V8 in?

I'd go for a mini van, but getting a good one with no rust is a bit hopeful for £2k

Never argue with an idiot. They drag you down to their level, then beat you with experience.

If you can keep you head, whilst all others around you are losing theirs, you are not fully aware of the situation

£2,000? Dream on , have you seen the prices of these even in need of restoration?

Hearse all the way. Seen some really cool ones around here, seem quite popular for custom vans. Cheap too..

As the vehicle is to be used by a mechanic presumably carrying tools around a hearse may not be the best idea?

Why not? Take the windows out and replace them with ali sheets.
I could even get a Daimler 420

A friend of mine went for a 1960 Chevy Sedan Delivery, like this one:
He found it very useful for carrying lengths of steel About seven mpg is a bit hard on the wallet though

How long would it take to cut the ally out with a stanley knife? Steel panels would be better but I personally would not put my tools in one. A
decent tool box would need to be securely fastened in any vehicle and a strong bulkhead in place would be vital
