saw a version of this about 5 years ago, i think. i seem to remember it was soon after the first matrix movie. I was working in theatre and a local dance school did something simular but as a slowmo gymnastic thing.
when you look at these things there usually is some link to old fashioned music halls sketches. looking through information i can find there was a sketch called slow motion cricket in leeds grand circa 1890. not sure if there is a case of adopting but would fit with the long scheme of things
