Frontera injectors
Morning guys
mate have just rang me up saying that his dad's Frontera needs new injectors and can i have a search on the net whilst he's at work. its a
1996 2.2 petrol ecotec engine, where can i get some injectors for this car, would second hand ones be ok? oh, apparently only one is knackered but is
it a case of replacing all 4? can i use the injectors off the 2.0ltr or 2.4 ltr petrol fronteras?

Best way to be certain is read the ID number on the side of the injectors and ask the Ebay vendor to double check that they're the same.
But yes, they should be fine.
Buying 2nd hand injectors is always a bit hit + miss. One of the "new" injectors could be duff but you'ld be very unlucky to end up
with four duff ones. If they haven't been used for a while they can sometimes gum up. If this happens soaking them in injector cleaner for 24
hours can help or with the fuel rail up to pressure disconnect the electrical supply to the injector and "blip" 12v across it to free them
up. Obviously don't do this too much or you'll flood the engine!!!
