You can buy a brand spanking new bang up to date machine for about $30mill.
I'll still with my F/A 18 Hornet thanks.

Shite, that one's shot up aswell...
It was about a million when I posted it early this morning.
Suppose that would happen when it gets advertised on a national news site...

$99m? Pity someone's done that- would have been interesting to see how it genuinely went.
It's still less than a Eurofighter IIRC- aren't they about £120m apiece?
May have that wrong tho!

I think the price of the Eurofighter depends on the day of the week and who is asking the question
I'm sure I've got one, just don't know where I've put it

If you're a pilot and a squadron of them gets delivered do you get to choose which one you have?
I only ask as they're built all over Europe and some might be best avoided! Like the ones built by France's southern European neighbours!
"Have you fitted the guns yet?"
"Que?..... Manyana...."
or
"Squadron leader, may I formerly request NOT to have the one with the Italian wiring please"
or, is it the German ones that have problems- have BMW been involved in a flight version of i-drive for the Eurofighter?

I was up at BAE Preston last year and they were making bits for the Eurofighter. There are some real trick bits. The bloke showwing me round gave me a
pin (titanium) and said 4 of them held each wing on.. Ive got bigger bolts holding my cycle wings on

Weird- even Mclaren use stronger fixings than that!
Would I be right in thinking that it can't fly without the computer constantly making adjustments to the telemetry?
Computer fails and it falls out of the sky doesn't it?
Looked great at Farnborough tho! Was gutted to find I was a year too old to join the RAF!

James,
If that worries you, don't look at the size of the pegs used to hold 747 engines onto the wing...
...not very big - you could easily hold one in the palm of your hand... and they only use 2 or 3

I'm not getting you anything
I bought you that chair last year, but you never plugged it in!
Cheers
Chris
Note to all: I really don't know when to leave well alone. I tried to get clever with the mods, then when they gave me a lifeline to see the
error of my ways, I tried to incite more trouble via u2u. So now I'm banned, never to return again. They should have done it years ago!
