my new toy

Today I woke up at 04:30 and trundled all the way down to Yeovil in Somerset.

Look what came back with me

£1500, the fella had just spent £1000 restoring it. The interior is spotless.

All I need to do is swap the timing belt and water pump then have a look at a binding front caliper it it'll be perfek

I have new wheels too

Not anything like as iconic as a 205GTI, but I'm loving it just the same.

I have a fairly benevolent elder brother who gives me his cast off junk. First was a Skoda Felicia with no MOT, which was MOT'd for a fiver of work.
Second was a laptop with no hard drive - brand new hard drive cost me £25.

Sold both of the above, added £100 of my own money and got this.

That's not bad - an Audi A4 for 100 quid of your own money.
More pics here

It is indeed, pre-cat but with the extras like PAS, E/W and full leather interior. I've just popped out in it to a nearby village. Mother was surprised at how quickly I returned

Sorry - missed this post.

The Golf was bought on the drip and the money owing on it was more than it was worth.
To make it worse, it was feeling very baggy and not the most pleasant drive.

So, I exercised my right under clause 99 of the consumer credit act 1974 and GITF.
