Well done Dan.

This helps me a lot 'cos I got this car that I have to trailer over to Northampton DVLA for 12noon.
Are you available with your new towing skills.

Iv been working on my boss to pay for it for me and he finally gave in as i need it to tow van abouts at work. If you tow a vehicle with a bar it becomes a trailer etc.

I did it through these. Its 580 quid for a 3 day one to one intensive course with a test at the end. My boss put me in for 1 day as iv towed before.. I started at half 8 this morning and the test was at half 2. Which i think was 200 quid. Passed with 3 minors. 1 i should have known better. I took a junction when i shouldnt have. There other 2 was use of mirror and speed as i went too slow at one point.

As for the test, you have to answer some questions about loading etc and the normal underbonnet levels etc. All the info here if you scroll down theres a pdf for the questions.
Then you do a reversing manouvre which involves starting straigh then reverse at an angle into a garage marked out with cones.
Then a controlled stop then you drive about for an hour, the uncoupling and coupling. Then your done. Takes about an hour and quarter all tolled.

I found it quite easy but then iv towed trailers and vehicles on bars for ages. Also you have to drive properly. No palming the wheel etc except for the manouvre. Its like a normal driving test for the driving bit.

Jollygreen if you were closer and i didnt have to work I would do it for you. My trailer just sits here.

The reverse is summit like this. you start in the bottom right 2 dots and end up in the cones on the top left..
