Crazy postman
I recently purchased a 30mm x 1500mm aluminium flat bar to mount the seats on as I need to raise the runner off the floor slightly.
Just found the postman trying to post it through the letter box!!! 1500mm - the porch isn't that long!!!
Wondering if he was a gynecologist in a previous life because most sane people wouldn't even attempt it!
Wonder why he didn't knock rather than attempt to pole vault through the letter box?

Postmen have been given targets for delivery round times. They have to average 3 MPH including posting the letters, or something silly. They
don't have tome for you to answer your door any more.

Ours has got around that by not even attempting the parcel. He just sticks a card
through saying "you were out/needs signing for/won't fit/can't be *rsed" and takes the parcel to the sorting office for me to
collect the following Saturday morning as that's the only time I can get there when it's open.

I think having my 5 year old son trying to push it back out was scary enough.

I have a tip for people. If you are lucky enough to have a regular post person. Get friendly with them and suggest that if you have any parcels they
just leave them at the depot and pop a note in the post box. I think you can do something like this officially also but I am not sure if they
differentiate between parcels or normal mail.
I have a lot of parcels and my postie like it because he never has to deliver them to me.

Good job he didn't do what ours does with all manner of envelopes/packages etc and tried to fold it to get it through at all costs!
Cheers, Pewe

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

Nah, a gynecologist would be fitting you a new stair carpet through the letterbox.
