Got made redundant today

Those who know me will have heard of my recent "issues" at work.

Went in for a final meeting today and found out I'm offically being made redundant.

oh well.

Got plans to keep afloat till xmas time, at which point I'll be forced to sell the kit car if I havn't got a decent job.

So if anyone needs a Business Excellence /Process Improvement expert/ soft skills trainer/facilitator and Project Manager with experience managing a large team, and an IT department then give me a shout please.

based in the north west.

At least I've got lots of time on my hands to finish car and spend with the kids.

Ho Hum.

you'll be fine mate. just get out there and apply for every job you can find. even if its not exactly what you're after. there's plenty of jobs out there at the minute.

last week, i actually quit work (before i was sacked... thats how poo RBS are. they'd rather sack people for stupid stuff than give any redundancy money) got an interview for another job tomorrow. same money as i was on and everything.

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

Yeah, that sounds about right! The Swines!

I have applied for loads, and got 5 more to apply for in the next few days.

If push comes to shove I'll temp as a credit controller (previous job years ago) to get some money coming in.

Bad news but keep the wheels spinning, and eventually you'll get some traction. As you know, puttering around in the garage clears the mind of worry quite well.

Even though I knew in advance mate, it's still a PITA.

As you know I went through it last year, and it's not pleasant, but I'm working now and even though I think I have one of the most loathsome jobs on the planet, it still pays the bills...

You will get there mate, and it might end up being a good change!

Steve
