Which Baby Car Seat?
Any new parents in?
Does anyone subscribe to which? or know which are the best baby car seats?
Halfords have a half price sale on this weekend, so was hoping to pick up one this weekend.
I know we don't need it for another 4 months, but where there is the chance to get a decent seat at a reasonable price.

We found it best to get a pushchair with a carrier with it. Then you can lift it from the car and clip it onto the pushchair without having to
disturb the baby. Most of them rock etc.

check out the recaro ones ive got two one for new borns and one for 12 month to seven years. really good seats not the cheapest but very good value
in my opinion. if its good enough for the racers is good enough for my little man and the other one due on monday. they also do travel systems, which
we bought first time round. although to be honest the travel system was not great. and as a bonus all the lads think its well cool having the little
ones in recaro from birth, you will like cars and engines not bloody cricket.

recaro don't brush up well in the tests. We have a which? subscription and it recommended the maxi cosi cabrio with isofix base. The maxi cosi
cabrio can attach to quite a few prams/pushchairs so as already said, you wont need to disturb the baby.

if your car has isofix points then definitly go for one with a permanent base that you drop the seat onto.
We had the maxi cosi with easybase, then changed car and got the same with the isofix base.
And ANY shop worth their salt selling car seats should NOT sell you one without fitting it in your car and advising if its suitable.

we got a mamas and papas skate pram with the primo viaggio car seat, does the trick but surey over priced. If i had to do it again id get second hand
off ebay, but the missus wouldnt stand for it!

its worth checking with the local council, with mine, they have a fitting service and you take your car to them and they recommend a seat that fits
the car correctly & show you how to fit it, and then you go and buy it from wherever you can find it cheapest.

I would easilly recomend Maxi Cosi Cabrio fix with easy base or iso base ( if your car has iso. ) always come very close to the top of the which list
and we had no problems with ours.
you can get mounting system so they clip to prams ours clipped into our Quinny Buzz.
If you want to do a good comparison of travel systems go to Toys r us ( most include a babies r us ) you can see most of them side by side and the
staff were really helpful rather than Mothercare that could not give a SHITE apart from geting your cash.

if you go to a shop ask if the fitters - always ask to get it fitted in your car - are gold fitters. they are the best and prob better qualified than
your council / rospa checkers.
guarantee the baby fits the seat but no guarantee the seat fits the car.
would recco from experience one that fits with your buggy / pram.
priori xp or priori iso if you have iso fixings are excellent seats.

As Agriv8, we used exactly the same system for 9 months with no issues (and 2 cars). The seat was very versatile attaching to our Quinny very
easily.
Whilst your sprog is small enough try to get a proper carry cot rather than using the seat all the time though.
