Tin rop tire wear

I noticed the other day that my front tires are wearing more on the inside edge than the outside. After a bit of research, it seems this is most likely due to bottom and possibly also top wishbone bushes. The bushes look fine to me (not that iv ever seen any that dont) but i cant afford to have the garage sort it out for me.
Before i spend £50 - £100 on new bushes and attempt to fit them myself, is there any way of making sure the bushes are the problem without the need for special equipment?
The tracking was done about 4000 miles (about a year) ago so it cant be the tracking can it?

I would think it's far more likely to be tracking if both tires are wearing in the same place.

What kind of car is it?

You could always strip the wishbones off and inspect all the bushes before you buy any parts.

Jag XJ. Apparently they are really hard to disrupt the tracking and i havnt hit any major potholes.
If it is the tracking, the guy next door to us at work does it for £25 so that'll be an easy fix

Sounds like a bit of toe out?
A lot of it is caused by those pillow type square speed humps aswell.

If the top bushes are shot then if you grab the wheel yopu can make the whole front assembly move, this is common + you will not even notice when driving except maybe a little clunking.

The Jag items are expensive, although not correct I used Landrover 90/110 panhard rod bushes on mine (£18 delivered, polybushes), you have to retain the old washers from the old bushes to make end plates.

The big bolt can be hard to turn, I needed to heat the surrounding ali before mine would remove.

easy enough to do, my XK8 passed MOT yesterday, I believe its the same suspension.

I had mine done at Wilco Motosave last week (didn't do it myself 'cos one of the TREs was seized)

It cost less than £15, and that's their standard price
