Hi

Am I alone in feeling the Beeb should hang on to Mike Gascoin as DC's co-presenter and ditch Bernie and Spanky's sychophant Eddie Jordan??

I'm up and TV is on but not watching yet. Alonso will be in the lead after the first bend but will be let down by his strategy . maybe Webers day?

Tuned in at 7a.m to watch all the build-up to the event itself. This is is something I didn't bother with in previous years under ITV and would just watch the race itself.
Anyone else agree that the Beeb are doing a far better job of the coverage?
Apart from the lack of adverts interrupting procedures, I think the presenters are better and more informed about the modern era of formula 1 - afterall, Coultard was only driving one of these cars last season, whereas Blundell and Brundle are veterans of yesteryear.
Unless its a general policy of F1 to be more open, it also seems that the drivers and teams are more ameniable to being interviewed by the Beeb on a closer level. (As in the instance of the presenters standing right alongside the Red Bull car in the garage an hour before the race. Though, presumably, DC's links with the team probably helped!)
