windscreen chip

My wifes car has a windscreen chip/small crack about the size of a 5p coin. It's right in the drivers line of sight. Is this an MOT fail?

Can it be repaired?
Any recommendations to get it fixed?

Why do they call Port Harcourt "The Garden City"?...... Becauase they can't spell Stramash.

Best thing to do is get one of the mobile repairers out, they will tell you if it is repairable or not, and won't charge if it isn't.

IIRC MOT fail is a 10p size chip anywhere in the sweapt area of the wipers, might be 5p size, but the repairer would know.

If you're fully comp then Autoglass or similar will come out, asses and repair (if possible) for free. I've had a couple of chips repaired recently, both are no longer visible - worth doing IMHO as it should prevent the crack worsening over time.
