The years haven't been kind to it
I know it's the done thing to slag off Robin Hoods, but I had great fun with one which I owned around 1995/1996. Sold it to a bloke in
Livingston and have wondered what had happened to it ever since then.
Lo and behold, 'project for sale' on ebay and here it is, 14 years down the line.
I would like to confess to the Revolutions with the yellow centres. Got them out of the scrappy for £40, blasted all the black paint off, polished the
rims and painted the centres yellow. It was the done thing.
It's looking sad now.

I guess he could have applied for it too. You often see this kind of rubbish in Ebay ads, if it's so easy why doesn't the seller do it?

Was it correctly registered when you had it John - or will the potential new owner get a shock when they receive the V5 through the post?

The cost of a replacement V5 is £28 which is about 10% of the present price which he will not be getting back so I see why he didn't bother.

Well, he just adds the cost to the asking price, selling a car without a v5 is always a bit iffy, for the cost and the trouble why not just get one,
then there's nothing for a buyer to be dubious about.
You see this sort of thing all the time in ebay adverts, another one is the "it needs xxxx fitting, I've got one, hopefully I will get it
fitted before the auction ends"

It was definitely correctly registered.
I've spoken to the vendor and he bought it off the bloke I sold it to.
I bought it off a retired Formula Ford racer who was a bit of a local legend for "doing it on the cheap".
My type of bloke in other words.
But as you all say, sort out the V5 and the car becomes a whole lot more attractive, well let's say slightly less unnattractive. 
Favourite days of that summer would have been the day that big Bob my mate discovered he didn't have cancer. I gave hime the Robin Hood for the
afternoon and told him to go and have some fun and he did just that.
When I bought it, I paid £1,500.
When I sold it, I think I got either £1,300 or £1,500 back on it. Certainly not less than the £1,300.

I always expect when I see a kit car with a reg number on it, but no V5 that there is another "Robin Hood" out there running round on that
registration.
I'd imagine that when you do apply to the DVLA for a V5, there will be a few questions asked?
Of course I could be wrong.
Anyway, happy memories Zil!
Edit to say I don't think it'll reach £1,300 this time round!
Have just checked the DVLA and KEC303T comes back as a Robin Hood S7. Not showing as taxed though! So looks like it might still be legit.

I still have the name and address of the bloke I sold it to - written on the inside cover of my copy of 'Legend of the Lotus Seven' by
Dennis Ortenburger.
I could verify it's legit relatively easy if needed.
