Thank you omega0684

Just a quick thankyou to omega0684 for driving me around today - I now own an Alfa 164
It was no worse than it looked on the ebay ad - needs a damn good clean and a service - shame it was too loud to drive it home

Cheers Alex

It's not the greatest place is it and that estate is past its sell by date. They seem to be moving the sh1te out though and putting immigrants in so it's not as bad as it was. Plenty of speed bumps around there too eh?

absolute trekage of a UK tour, snake pass was AWESOME, although being stuck behind a tractor and then having a dek in a clio keep trying to over take you in a row of traffic is a little annoying! glossop centre was pretty much a stand still!

i have to say that bolton isn't on my next uk tour list, frickin speed humps everywhere!

claire you will have to film the alfa running as it is when it arrives just so people can see how mad the engine sounds!

ive just had a lovely power nap, now i have to get everything in from the car

A bit , yeah
Some fresh petrol and a run round the block got it firing on all six - trying to pull away missing most cylinders (with dragging brakes) was interesting , to say the least

As i see it, you're on the left side of the pennines, which isnt right however you look at it

Left depends which way you're looking.

Shall we change the statement to be "he's on the proper side of the pennines and you're ..... urrgghhh, i don't want to soil my mouth talking about you"

(Ex Wigan, also on the 'correct' side of the pennines)

It depends which end of the country you are looking from I told you the brakes would be stuck Claire, did they blow the tyres up ready for you coming to look ?

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

Missed it about an hour

Awesome! My mate had a 12V and I loved it. Sounds amazing (if it's running right). What's yours? 24V? Cloverleaf? Hope you put the engine to good use when you're done 'owning an alfa'. Mate is putting his in the back of a cinquecento .

By the way, I'll forewarn you - if you ever have to get the box out (we did a clutch), there's one bolt (starter motor) that absolutely ranks as the hardest to access bolt in the history of car maintenance! Not kidding.

Oh - and the electric seats probably dont work. Should be sortable by tapping the motors with a hammer and massaging the switches!

Enjoy,

Liam

It's a 12 valve (I prefer them to the 24 valve , much better low down torque) , and I dont plan on breaking this one
The interior is mint , and the seats work fine - as does the sunroof and central locking
