Fiat Strada 130TC Abarth Update
Picked up the strada abarth today.
Well, the news is, it isn't going to be broken, its definitely staying on the road!
Rot wise its actually really quite acceptable. Not great, and its had a lot of work in the past, but the majority of it is pretty good. We'll
chop out the less good bits (3 areas, n/s floor, o/s rear chassis leg and tiny bit on o/s inner sill return area)
Electrically its well challenged, but all fixable, and it wants a clutch really, plus a new rubber carb to manifold mount (bet that will be fun to
find, anybody any ideas? ) and a good all round service.
On the big plus side, I took it down the road (harrumph "private of course" ) and bloody hell it shifts!! Loads of low down torque, just
stick your foot down and it digs in and goes. Spins up in 1st 2nd and 3rd in the dry.
Basically, I have to say its the biggest grin I've worn in ages, its just such a hoot and just encourages totally irresponsible driving, though
of course I would never do such a thing!
Will post on here once its done (mini to do first) and up for sale, though I won't want to sell this one, especially as they seem to be almost
impossible to find these days!

I've got a Fiat 1600 twin cam engine in bits in the shed. There's some 40 DHLA Dellortos from a Lancia as well but no manifold.

yours, Pete
I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

2.0 in this one Pete!
105 TC had the 1600, but then they lost the plot and stuck the 2.0 in it for the 130!
Getting rare though, 1600 or 2000 twin cams are hard to come by in decent running nick these days.
Mate of mine has one in a lada riva and keeps needing new bits, will let him know you have some (though I think he may also have a 2.0 now )
