Oh God alight, don't set me off about the BBC and telly licenses. I can't stand either. An absolute travesty having to pay for that utter utter crap. I think it's only still going because the politicians and upper classes consider it to be part of the English heritage. Pish! Complete tossers, stealing money from the people because they've got a monopoly on the situation and their heads so far up their own ar5e5.
Grrruuummmpppppppp!!!

I actually think it's worth it when you look at the absolute shite put on my ITV!!!

TV license is what 140 quid? I'd quite happily pay that in order to not have ad-breaks in the middle of F1 on it's own. Watching programs like TG on Dave are so much worse than on BBC2 because of the ads!!

You need sky+. Go make a cuppa and then fast forward the breaks.

I don't like the adverts on ITV either but I can cope with them as I know I'm not paying. BBC on the other hand, I am paying for and apart from Top Gear which I really enjoy, there's nothing good on it any more. Nothing! They used to have comedy on at 6pm when you came home, Simpsons or whatever but they scrapped all that and you get the endless repeats of Fresh Prince of Bell End now. They used to be good at comedy with THe Two Ronnies, Fools and Horses and the like now they have nowt but seem to use the same crappy actors for what they very loosely call comedy i.e. a crap childish joke in every line. I thought comedy was all about timing. They used to have Star Trek on BBC2 in the evenings (not to everyones taste I understand) but that's all gone now. All that AND the likes of Radio 1 just leaves a bitter taste in my mouth. They've got too comfortable and have slipped into a rut and aren't providing. Utter rubbish!
I also begrudge paying for Sky as when my mum had it, it was 999 channels of repeats but more than that, I have to pay the license fee so I expect my fill out of that!

Next time you have to send a cheque for your licence send a photocopy of the one that you sent last year, when they quiz it just say that when they stop repeating the same old programs you will send a new cheque! Same old programs same old cheque!
