Cobra alarm, what does the other button do?

I've recently bought a car which has a cobra alarm / immobiliser. The green button on the remote arms and disarms the system. What with the yellow button on the remote do?

do a search on google for the alarm manual, just type the model number in and you'll probably find a PDF of it

Did that. No mention of buttons at all.

sometimes you can have a remote, and the system doesn't make use of all the buttons. for example you could have the remote start operated by it, on the other hand it might do nothing.

not very helpful i know, but sometimes its the way it is

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

on my last cobra system you pressed the 2nd button upto 3 seconds after pressing the lock button, and it would disarm the internal sensors, so if you had your dog in the car whilst nipping into a shop it wouldnt set the alarm off. the alarm should make a single bleep noise when you use the 2nd button

I tried the second button today and it makes the alarm go off. This is either when the alarm is turn on or off.

Some alarms have a personal attack button to trigger the alarm if you're attacked as you return to your vehicle.

As above, it will be a panic button to make it go off there and then. I had a laser alarm fitted to another one of my cars that had that function
