renault clio

ive just been to look at a renault clio
R reg
and something seemed a little odd
it has a manual box (H pattern)
but only 2 pedals
the huge brake pedal and a throttle pedal

how on earth does that work??

had a look under the bonnet and it looks like a normal manual box with some sort of hydraulic system fastened to the gear linkage

so anyone got any idea's??

Will be a Clio zoom. Manual box (without rod change selector). Will have standard clutch too.

If its a 1.2 8v (d7f) the computer behind the battery wil be the gearbox ecu.

This controls the hydraulic unit on the gearbox that engages/disegages the clutch.

The gear stick is up/down like a sequential, but also across for neutral and then down for reverse.

Not that bad a car, but they are expensive if they go wrong. If you search my posts I have had a 03 plate one here for about 12 months witch need the hydro unit replacing!
