Pipework below ground

I'm trying to locate a storm water drain below a concrete path. I don't really want to break up to much concrete, is there a clever DIY way of finding it?

strangely it appears to work from experience

found and traced the route of an asbestos water main across 4 acres of land after digging in the wrong place for several hours and once it had been dowsed for found it directly under the ‘located’ route almost 2m down all a bit weird really

have to say I pi$$ed myself laughing too when it was suggested but had to eat my own words when it was found with two bent welding rods!

Get quotes from local builders to install a new drain to hook up with the stormwater drain.

They need to locate its position to give you the quote

Cheers

Bad form to waste a builders time IMHO.

Far better to get a kitten / small dog / child, send them down the nearest manhole and then call the fire brigade.
