HVLP Painting
Just finished plastering the loft conversion.
Now I have acres of bare plaster to paint, I was tempted by one of those Dulux Paint Pods, but having read several poor reviews, decided against
it.
Then I saw the cost of HVLP sprays has come down significantly. Has anyone used one to decorate walls / ceilings etc?
This was the model I'd spotted:-

Air driven spray guns (even HVLP) and emulsion won't work well together the paint tends to clog up inside the gun
Paint Ppds are fine for painting big areas of one colour in a single session, the main problem with them apart from cost of gun and paints comes when
you resume work after cleaning the Paint Pod out ---- the pump, hose and roller are full of water which thins the next load of paint down ---- even
if you drain it out it takes ages to get a proper roller load of paint that is thick enough to use.
However have you considered those roller that have a paint resevoir in the centre -- a lot cheaper than a paint pod.

you need to get the right paint for it most paints have emulsifiers in them making them very thick and wont spray with a hvlp sprayer.if you go into a
paint shop crown or Dulux they should give you good advice on what paint to buy that will go in the gun but i know its quicker with a roller and
tray(,been there tryed it 6 coats with the sprayer 2 with obliterating paint)
