don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

I believe so.
Other option is to bypass current fuse box. Fuses will never blow again and house may have new heating system too i fthere are any faults. A few M4
bolts may suit as fuse bypass devices
Only joking of course.

a friend of mine has had no lights or hot water in her flat for years, turns out there was nothing wrong with her water (was just switched off) and
both lighting fuses were blown. she changed the wire herself, though didn't really know what she was doing. one was fine, the other she
tightened the screw too much and it snapped the wire. i went round, sorted it, and she was happy, but it had me wondering if there was a simple easy
circuit breaker replacement. something that could be reset by a switch for people who don't know what they're doing and would simply
plug into a old fashioned fusebox

a circuit breaker can be fitted before the fue, the circuit breaker is more sensitive and will trip befor a fuse is blown. Hop that helps
Life is like a bowl of fruit, funny how all the weird looking ones are left alone

If my memory serves me right i think that MEM or Wylex did a plugin replacement MCB for the old style fuse units , its worth poping in to your local
Elctrical Wholesaler an asking.

Yes you can get a direct replacement for the old Wylex push in fuses, the replacements come with the carriers which need to be changed at the same
time

By the way I have got lots of these in different ratings (6A,10A,16A,20A,32A,40A) & could do a full set for a considerable amount less than
wholesale price
