Just booked my first lesson for when I get back from holiday, so anybody here do it? Any tips

Don't do it near rocks - I knew someone who got killed doing that.

i wakeskate and wakeboard

similar mechanics for the board but you worry less about where the kite is going. You're also more restricted because you go where the boat goes.

Rule one - dont bend your arms when you first stand up, otherwise youre going over backwards

I've used power kites a fair bit and I've watched kite surfers in Cape Town for hours, I'd love to give it a go

I did my lessons last year and got my IKO card, I was just about getting up and going well and then I started building the car - and have not been out since

I am waiting for the summer to end (and the beaches to be empty) then I will get out again
