Looks pretty fked to me.
You would need to be very handy with the old metalwork to get that repaired. I doubt youd find replacement parts, but someone like the Shuttleworth
Collection (Beds) might want it.
Kindest Regards,
Richard.

I can't be that bad, it only flew for four hours.
yours, Pete
I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

Spares are available at a price . I know someone who is rebuilding one at the moment at The Imperial War Museum , Duxford . it was a running display
engine fitted on to it's own self contained trailer unit unit it broke a con rod.

There must be a point when you can no longer call an engine, an engine and I think that's just about crossed the border.

Hmmm Last time I was in the Spitfire hangar at Duxford they had enough spits in flying condition to make a squadron, and a fair few spares.
Last time I walked through the Battle of Britain Flight hangar at RAF Conningsby they had at least 25+ spare Merlin engines up the corner (I counted
them). Although that was 20 years ago.
There are a lot of Merlin engines about.
They were fitted to Tanks, and after the war even to earth moving machines.
Although they were not fitted with the Superchargers, or the Aero Magento's
(The aero Mags allowed the engine to rev a bit higher than the tank ones).
Just my 2 reils worth.
1. The point of a journey is not to arrive.
2. Never take life seriously. Nobody gets out alive anyway.
Best Regards
