Fuel strainer material

Afternoon all.

Does anyone know where I might be able to source some of that material that is used on the pickup for in-tank fuel pumps at all? It is usually white when new, and is about 1mm thick, and is sort of spotty/dimpled and usually heat sealed in the shape of a bag? It is NOT the nylon mesh type stuff, but is more like a felt type material...

I'm after some for another application, but can't find anywhere that can supply it not already formed into fuel strainers for in tank pumps...

Any ideas anyone?

Andy

I don't know what you are referring to as linky does not work for me.

Brass mesh and soldering iron is all you need to make a strainer to whatever size and shape you want, within reason - that is how I did it.

now getting hold of the brass mesh, that is another story.

The material I am after is NOT a mesh type of any sort. It is like a felt type fabric. It is more of a filter than a strainer, and apparently it is commonly used on the in-tank fuel pumps...
