Stafford, It was a Giraffe

Following on from a converastion at the Stafford show on the Saturday afternoon, I thought that I would post an appropriate picture of the the insect that was under discusion.

Looks kinda like a demonic Martian Bambi if you squint enough and blink quickly. I think you should call it 'Lucifer' or 'Ken'.

I thought we'd call it a Caroline after the person who originally described it.

I think evolution went down a blind alley with that one.

After a bit of research I traced the species. I couldn't find a common name but the latin is Luegoviento
