keeping rubber soft
found out why my car runs like a bag of shit. part of the air intake (after the airflow meter) is all split.
i found a replacement i can have tomorrow, but it looks a little like its already starting to split. is there anything i can use on it to keep it soft
and flexible to buy some more time out of it?

I use plumbers silicon oil, used to lubricate push on plastic fittings, you can buy it at Wickes. Used it to rescue the Targa roof seals on my sons
MR2 Turbo, worked like a charm, no more leaks. Paint it on the rubber and allow to soak in, heat helps so no problem with engine bay heat.

Should be able to get it at any plumbers merchant.
