Tamiya Rough Rider
Just ordered myself one of these for my Xmas present. I built a sand scorcher about 28 years ago, but sold it for £20 a long time ago, it was a great
toy.
Can wait to build the thing, it will bring back alot of memories.

Why do they call Port Harcourt "The Garden City"?...... Becauase they can't spell Stramash.

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

Yes I built one of those with help from my Dad when I was about 10 years old. Funnily enough I now have a 10 year old son...hmm!
Where did you get it? Are they generally available or was this a one-off?
Enjoy!
Craig.

It's electric, just the same as they used to be. They have recently been re-released on a limited quantity I believe.

Built a Sand Scorcher - and I still have it !!! but with the FORD pick-up body which I cant recall the name of.
Think I built that one after the Lambo Cheeter or some such model of the same time and few two wheel drive models.
Great fun.

I still have the majority remnants of the Escort Cosworth (based on the Manta Ray chassis) and Bear Foot (I think that was the name of it) in my loft.
I only have one radio set between the two, but have often thought about refurbing one of them back into action.
Obviously I then get carried away about making things on a small lathe and moulding a c/f tub for it etc. etc.
One day...
