don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

its £60 pounds, which says a lot about how good it is. I fitted a rather nice neff mini oven the other day that someone had paid £800 for.

If it's done with gas what is it then?
Looks like it'll be alright to make a roast for you and missus, wouldn't cook tea for 6 in it!

The ignorant answer is it's from a shopping channel so it will be sh!t.
The more informed answer is that a great deal of the input energy will be turned in to light not heat making it less efficient than a more
conventional cooker. Furthermore the glass container is not insulated so even more heat energy will be wasted. I think it will likely use a lot of
electric for not much cooking. A slow cooker will probably be a better investment and these use as little as 40watts I'm told.

I have searched all over the house, under the beds, in the loft, even behind the sofa and between the cat's legs can say with complete
confidence that I do not have one.

no, cooking over wood or coals, can't beat it. must be the carcinoconogogenic fumes that make all food delicious.

Did anyone watch "Bang goes the theory" last night about the human-powered house? They managed to cook a chicken with two 100w bulbs

Yeah it looked pretty much fine to me, maybe could have done with another 20 mins or so (they said they cooked it for 90 mins) but otherwise pretty
good.
Maybe I should make one see what I can cook with it
