Private Plate Daftness!
No problem with private plates, but why-oh-why do folk come up with such bloomin contrived nonsense!?
The latest subject of my ire is.. H15 LTS which is attached to a rather nice Esprit currently for sale. The plate is a unique selling point as it
apparently spells 'HIS LOTUS'.
NO IT DOESN'T... IT SPELLS H15 LTS!!!!
Caps off... and breathe!!!

I totally agree with you, private plate owners who think in some strange place that they actually read different. Im mean whats the point anyway.

I have a personalised plate - L8 CWR.
And do you know what it spells? Nothing. It's my initials. Nothing more, nothin less.
Admittedly the L8 part was quite appropriate, as I'm often tardy for things....

Sometimes, just sometimes you can get a decent one for not much.
My brother (Roadkill on here) got L33 3OND for next to nowt and it looks (even using the correct legal font) suprisingly like "Lee
Bond".
A bargain for a plate that should last a lifetime

I'm going to buy P100 ?DE at some point, to go on my ford P100 predictably. Plus the DE suffix is local.
back in 93 L14 MMC was auctioned for not much. It spells my name and I don't think its too contrived.
Wouldn't mind that one

Mine's similar N8 + my initials. Harmless and reasonably cheap, but IMHO having to squint, insert letters that aren't there or falsely
adjust the characters in order to see what it is supposed to say is going too far

I have one of these.
A Citroen Synergie.
and could easily be tempted to put this plate on it.
Exactly as it appears here.
That's sad, isn't it ?
Incidentally, it's £250 all in from the DVLA and I reckon it might actually be quite a sellable plate.

Q is does anyone know the whereabouts of RUS 805T??? - can't be worth more than a couple of hundred quid!
I no longer run Furore Products or Furore Cars Ltd, but would still highly recommend them for Acewell dashes, projector headlights, dominator
headlights, indicators, mirrors etc, best prices in the UK! Take a look at http://www.furoreproducts.co.uk/ or find more parts on Ebay, user names
furoreltd & furoreproducts, discounts available for LCB users.
Don't forget Stainless Steel Braided brake hoses, made to your exact requirements in any of around 16 colours.

I think it's quite amusing that KN is a prefix now - especially if your car was registered in 03..............................KN03
......................would particularly suit the kn0b that tried to run into me on the motorway this morning

My old man once bought a tatty old VW Derby for about £50, the reg was EWE 6V, which he sold for £550 if I remember correctly - good deal for my dad
but who on earth wanted that!!
I do like the ones such as MAG1C which Paul Daniels apparently owns, or P1lot but most are gash.
My mate has bought a few plates for him, his missus and the kids all with the last three same letters, but now as he's bought 4 it has pushed
the price of those letters up by a few hundred quid even though it's only him that seems to be buying them!!

I personally don't like private plates at all and think they take away from the purpose of the number plate itself. Going back to the original
point though, people who claim their number plate says something when it doesn't is annoying, though I'm more annoyed when they've
got a show plate thats spaced wrong to make it look more like it spells something it doesn't. I really don't get how people get away with
driving with illegal plates as its so obvious, and its an MOT failiur (My dad failed an MOT because a garage made him a plate where one of the numbers
wasn't think enough by a few millimetres), do they swap them over for the MOT?

My ex-copper neighbour does.
He's (the family) got
P33LEY
P333LEY
P33LCY and
P333LCY the latter two with a black screw in the centre of the C.
Can you guess what his surname is ? And quite apt for an ex cop.
