anyone know what sort of notice we need to give to get a test slot im going to the bristol test centre, i know i could phone them, but you guys know
everything.

its 'about' six weeks I think.
However, you need to get a form from swansea (thats where I got mine) and send it off. Its gonna depend on where you go though.
