Any body seen tyhe space shuttle take off?
I'm off to Orlando, and then am staying at the Space Shuttle Hotel for three days to see the next Space Shuttle leave.
Anybody seen it go?
Then off on a cruise, probably around the oil slick!!

Saw it take off two years ago - absolutely amazing even when you're a few miles away.

Went 4 years ago.
Booked our holiday around being there for the launch.
Which was postponed and postponed again until we never actually saw it.
Don't make arrangements around it...

Saw the shuttle go up in 2000 from the Cocoa River Bridge and then in 2005 sat at the KSC in the bleachers we saw a Titan 4 do up. Both impressive
but the SS is loud beyond belief. I was 5 miles away and it felt like it was shaking every bone in your body.
Well worth the trip...
