OT - Roof Sheets ?
I need to find some info on roof sheeting, the box profile or corrugated industrial/agricultural style stuff
Its only for a small(ish) single pitch roof ~14m x 4.6m I'd like to use quite a lot of roof lights (one every 3rd or 4th sheet)
ideally it would match the of box profile on the existing sheds around it (in grey/blue grey) but cost is a big issue
(heat loss isn't an issue for planning/building regs, but I will be putting in some kind of insulation depending on the roof sheets I end up
with)
does anyone know anything about specifying this and where can I find catalogues of what's available ?
(I've tried to get some stuff form the local suppliers but not having much joy )
also what's the story with the composite sheeting you get these days - is it just some kind of non-asbestos fibre cement ?
cheers

Have a look at http://www.steadmans.co.uk/product/index.htm for the information on profiles / finishes and insulation. They are based in Carlisle so
shouldn't be too bad delivering to you.
Failing that you can get sheets from ebay "steel profile sheet" but they tend to be either seconds or you get limited choice of profile /
colour.
I'd seriously consider going for a composite sheet in the first instance to get the insulation. I know it'll be more costly than a single
sheet, but by the time you factor in your labour twice, work out a way of installing the insulation below the roof without getting condensation issues
etc. Plus it'll look neater and be worth more if you ever sell.

Cheers Mike, that’s exactly what I was after (don't know how I forgot about steadmans…) the only other one I've got decent info on is
kingspan and they aren’t exactly cheap
Labour isn't really a cost as such (whatever happens I'll be building it myself) but I'm definatly going to have a proper look into
the insulated sheets anyway
(btw - selling it isn't an option - I don't even own it )
