Not a begging letter
As some of you know I am involved with fund raising for the RNLI.
I would appreciate it if you would about read this latest idea for fund raising.
It requires nothing more than a couple of minutes of your time and NO DONATION. Although if you want to donate I certainly won't stop you.
If you would like to take part it would be greatly appreciated.
Dear Supporter
Give as You Live is a new national fundraising campaign.
Give as you Live is a downloadable application that runs alongside your everyday search engines when you shop online.
You simply install the Give as you Live programme and your computer will remember that you've signed up to the scheme every time you visit a
partner website. It will also inform you of what percentage each retailer will make to the RNLI if products are purchased. And the best bit is this
bares no cost to you!
Basically, Give as you Live does all the admin, while the retailers (including Tesco, iTunes, Domino's Pizza, hotels.com and Dixons) do all the
giving (the funds come from their online marketing budgets - it's a little bit like a commission fee).
With more and more people shopping online this a hassle free, cost free way for you and other supporters to raise funds for us. For those of you that
do your weekly food shopping online, you could raise hundreds of pounds each year at the click of a button. For more information please visit
http://www.giveasyoulive.com/rnli.
It would be fantastic if you could send this to your friends, family and work colleagues.
Thank you all for taking the time to read this, even if you don't take it up, your time is greatly appreciated.
If you do then I am sure the guys that risk there lives on a daily basis as volunteers (don't forget there is no pay for these everyday heroes)
will be very greatful as indeed will the peolple that they save.
Cheers guys,
John.
