OT - Cheapest packaging
In the coming months I'm going to be stripping and selling a load of engine parts...all of which will probably need posting - which means
packaging.
As no one likes to pay for packaging I was wondering if any of you have any good links to reasonably priced packaging.
Google pulls up hundreds of companies, and I dont know what I want/need.
Double or single wall boxes? Buy them complete or just the board and make my own? What about sizes? Going to be selling various engine bits, some will
be big, some smaller and I dont want small stuff in massive boxes...
As its engine parts I'm thinking of using air pillows to fill voids rather than foam beads/polystrene - cos they make a mess and are a pig to
get off engine parts.
I've seen diy versions using the pillow film and some sort of sealer machine - I wont be posting in massive volumes and have time on my hands so
I'd consider it...
Then again I might find that its easier just to buy a load of air pillows...
Anyway - any people who post lots of stuff or receive lots of engine parts want to give me the benefit of their advice?

Ive always used bubble wrap, and a bin bag wrapped tightley in parcel tape
Always prduces a very weird shape, and think its funny standing in a post office queue with an odd shapped parcel
My last one was a sterring rack, that i sold to one of our club members, and it really did look like a shotgun !!
lots of odd looks in crawley post office!

There are companies who recycle cardboard boxes cheap. Look in yellow pages.

Staples - they sell industrial type cling film/pallet wrap for this very purpose and you never knew you needed it till you've got some!!
it's not expensive either, neither is a roll of bubble wrap from there either tbh. Yes you could probably buy it slightly cheaper somewhere more
trade orientated BUT it's sooooo easy just to go to a Staples and buy it why bother saving £2.75 or whatever hunting around.....
