Yahoo Finance

Hi all I have seen a Motor advertised and the price is amazing, problem is that the vehicle is in Spain, I am in email communication with the seller who has advised me he would use Yahoo Finance for a safe and secure transaction. Apparently the funds are held untill deliver has been met then for a further 15 days untill I am completely satisfied.
Has anyone on here seen or done this before ??

NO NO NO NO it's a scam!!!!

Do the emails say something like this?:

I can transport it to your location by shipping company and takes about 4-5 days. They work very simple and will arrange the payment and delivery for the car. The transaction is done in 3 easy steps:

1) The car and the documents are received by the shipping company;

2) A technical and legal inspection is made, then you are informed about the it`s condition;

3) The payment is made to the transport company through bank transfer and once they have the confirmation of the payment, they deliver it to your address;

After you receive the car you will have it in custody for 3 days to decide if you will keep it or not, based on it's condition as described in the listing. During these 3 days, the shipping company will hold the payment, pending your confirmation. Let me know if you agree and we will go forward with a deal. I have other people interested in this car at the moment as well, so a prompt decision/response is appreciated.

Best Regards

and

I have the full service history and the MOT will expire in January 2012.

The car is in Spain at this moment but still registered in UK. I have moved to Spain with my work and unfortunately i have to sell the car as fast as i can. MOT and road tax is paid, no outstanding finance, full service history, the car is in excellent condition, no problems what so ever. We are only selling this much loved car due to receiving a company car and as we already have a second car in the family it is surplus to requirements. If you are really interested in my car please let me know because I’m ready to bring the car back to United Kingdom for sale.

Best Regards

The scammer is describing an Escrow service, which is not something that Yahoo provides. Yahoo Finance is basically information on the stock market, private loans, pensions, ISA's etc.
