contract phone

Looking to upgrade to a contract phone.
I only need a small contract, as I am using my pay as you go a bit more than before BUT am getting to the stage where I feel I am close to the point where a contract is the way to go.
I reckon that £10 a month will cover it but which contract/provider will give me the best deal??
Currently with Orange but willing to look elsewhere if need be.
Anyone know what the best deals are at the minute??
Thanks in advance

If it looks wrong it probably is wrong.

If you already have a phone, then just get a SIM only deal.

Should be able to get 300 mins and a huge amount of txts for £10 per month on a 12 month contract.

Get a deal through Topcashback and get £60 to £80 as well

Have a look at giff gaff sim deals, it might suit you.

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

Re SIM only ---If you have an Orange phone it is locked to Orange, Unlocking is usually easy BUT the cost varies greatly between phone types, many are free but some other popular phones cost up to £30 tp unlock.

Orange Sim only deals aren't that attractive --- but I find Orange have the best coverage and their PAYG phones are good buys especially too existing Orange users. if you don't have one already go to the Orange website create a login for your phone number and check your phone fund if you have been paying more than £10 per month on calls you could find you have enough to get £25 or so off a new phone. The Orange branded ZTE phones such as the Orange Rio and San Francisco can be unlocked for free.

If you get a Smartphone 3 Mobile is by far the cheapest for data but the 3 Network is 3g only still has dead spots away from big towns.
Vodafone has better coverage and also have some very attractive packages for mixed voice and data Vodafone are also very good for calls when in Europe if you pay for a european call package in advance.

Also take into account if you change your phone your usage pattern will change, if you get a phone with a qwerty keyboard you will find you send a lot more texts, with a smartphone you will have more text and data traffic.

Heh, I'm going the other way! I've been on a contract with Orange for several years now until I found out that the PAYG deals were giving me more for £10 than I am getting for £20, so I can squirrel that tenner a month away and use that for another one when it breaks

Yes Orange are good for PAYG but the contracts are not generous, I am a very low call & txt user but do use the net on my phone a lot even with internet use I am never going to use more than £10 to £15 a month. I could get much more calls, txt and internet with 3 Mobile or Vodafone monthly contract but it wouldn't save me a penny.

I've been with Giffgaff for about 6 months now, for a tenner you get unlimited texts, 200mins talk and unlimited internet (no fair use restrictions), highly recommended.
