Any tile experts/electricians out there?
Has anyone installed led walkover lights in a bathroom before. I have a customer who wants walk over led lights set into ceramic tiles. Also wants
electric underfloor heating. Sounds like a lot of work to me. Where do you fit the transformer so you can repair it. Can it go in a bathroom sink
cabinet. Any advice welcome, many thanks.

Here's an oblique sort of answer.
When running a waste pump for a wet floor shower or level entry shower, the pump runs low voltage and the transformer unit is generally in the
adjacent room, such as a heating cupboard.
I would suggest that points to a likely answer.
Low voltage only in the bathroom, step down transformer adjacent to the bathroom.

Outside the room or in an area that is accessible only with tools (under the bath, cabinet plinth etc) would be my choice as long as it's got
enough space / ventilation.

Thanks for the advice. it was very usefull. I think under the bath might be a solution for the transformers.

Fitted both LED lights into my tiles in the bathroom and underfloor heating with no problems.
Used a waterproof box to bring everything back to under the bath but kept the Tranny for the lights in the loft.
Then fitted a pir motion sensing light switch in the ceiling by the door this drives a 2 pole relay one side of which drives the tranny for the floor
lights the other the ceiling lighting via a pull switch. This way when you walk into the bathroom in the middle of the night the floor lights come on
but your not blinded by the main lighting.
Make sure you test your heater mat before tiling.

Bob
