Ouch

Dropped 300kg on my left index finger between nail and first knucle finger burst open and broke in 3 places. Went to hospital it was dead weird like my finger had no bone in it, just like harry potter. Getting drunk now to kill the pain.

What did you drop and where? If at work, it's a notifiable incident under RIDDOR.

300kg! You're lucky it didn't take it clean off!

Here's to a speedy recovery & hope the pain at least remains bearable! Doesn't sound anywhere near as spectacular as when I out the 3" hole saw thro' my face, but I only had myself to blame!

I no longer run Furore Products or Furore Cars Ltd, but would still highly recommend them for Acewell dashes, projector headlights, dominator headlights, indicators, mirrors etc, best prices in the UK! Take a look at http://www.furoreproducts.co.uk/ or find more parts on Ebay, user names furoreltd & furoreproducts, discounts available for LCB users.
Don't forget Stainless Steel Braided brake hoses, made to your exact requirements in any of around 16 colours. http://shop.ebay.co.uk/furoreproducts/m.html?_dmd=1&_ipg=50&_sop=12&_rdc=1

Ouch indeed, wishing you a speedy recovery.

Sadly it seems there are a few here encouraging the old claim culture
The word "Accident" will be deleted from our dictionaries soon.

i believe for most it was meant in a jovial manner.

but then again if is happend through no fault of his own and he is genuinely hurt to the point where it will affect him making living and putting food in his kids mouths, then why shouldn't he claim. there is a big difference between people screwing the system to make a quick penny and someone that genuinely entitled to claim.

Just because youre self employed, doesnt mean that youre excluded from the health and safety at work act. You dont necessarily need to have a policy, but the place where you were working may have to and you will both need to work within the legislation.
