locking brakes
Hi, this is a prob that i have got on my Fiat cinquecento sport - changed the rear brake cylinders as 1 was seized and put new shoes on there, backed
the handbrake off all the way. One wheel was a bit tight on the brake but seems to have loosened off since. and after burning my finger poking thedrum
after one run, the drums are now cool after 20 miles of normal driving.
Problem is that under medium / hard braking, especially at low speed, my rears are locking up way before the fronts, and the car starts to spin. I
don't think it's so bad at high speed but i am unwilling to stamp on the brakes at 80mph when it wants to spin at 10mph. Tried last night
only at about 60 and it seems that both the fronts and backs lock up at this speed under medium / hard braking (tho it was wet and my tyres
don't work very well in the wet).
any ideas? could i have been sent the incorrect cylinders, possibly without a pressure valve or something? and would this happen with air in the lines
to the front brakes - i bled it twice but when you relly stamp on it, the pedal moves about 2" and doesn't feel especially firm.
cheers
if you don't fail, you aren't trying hard enough.

sounds like the load valve is stuck in the open position, its mounted on the n/s above the rear beam, get someone to pump the brake and you shoulf feel
it kick, only a few quid from GGB if it is stuck
who cares who wins
