Vitamin B6 - you liver uses shed loads of it, and you can't generate it as fast as it uses it when you're processing all the lovely booze. When it runs out, it starts putting formaldehyde in your blood, hence the minging hangover.

any chemist will help sell you it.

Doesn't bode well for me....got my stag do this weekend. 4 pints and i am gone usually. What you call in the trade a bit of light weight!

If only i could drink like i used to be able to back at Uni. 16 pints and would be fresh as a daisy the next day...well within reason.

That's why I stopped drinking years ago. They just got worse, and I got richer as a result. You save unbelievable amounts of money, which you can then use for things like toy cars, and justify it completely.

I think that may also be my problem. Since having kids I really don't drink other than the odd beer or glass of wine with a meal.

Went to one in Birmingham once and the stag got home 2 days after the rest of us

He didn't look too good when we left him

Fortunately (in a funny way) i got completely wasted a few months ago and decided to never drink to excess again. So on a stag do 2 weeks ago, i did alternate soft drinks and was half sober by the time everyone else passed out. That said, they did start drinking at 6am at the airport Managed two kebabs in one day.

My policy when i was still going out drinking was - at midnight start drinking coke, by 1am only drink coke.

I used to be sober enough to get all the girls into taxis and get back to who evers house i was crashing at.

Made the next morning rather bearable without the hangover
