London olympic cover up (beech volleyball)

Quote:
News today that may shock male fans of beach volleyball – women players might be covering up at the London Olympics this summer instead of wearing skimpy bikinis.

British beach volleyball players (left to right) Denise Johns, Lucy Boulton, Shauna Mulliin and Zara Dampney
New dress code rules brought in by the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) could lead to ladies competing on Horse Guards Parade, close to the Houses of Parliament, wearing long-sleeved tops and shorts rather than their usual revealing outfits.

Until now, players have had to choose between bikinis or a full bodysuit - usually used in cold weather.

The FIVB says the option to cover up the flesh has been introduced to cater for different countries’ cultural or religious beliefs, rather than an effort to shed the sport of its sexy image.

Is nothing sacred I have to ask ?

I did a little research and have found a team photo from Iran, this cant be right can it ?

images should finish with .jpg, or.gif or something, looks like you've linked to a page the picture is on, the img tags won't work with pages

anyway, this is all terrible news

I'm ok with the British team covering up, i've seen them and they are not easy on the eye.

I have been known to be fussy though and standards in other parts of the country can be different, although i've never seen sheep play beach volleyball.

Evening Jon ;-)
